This course deals with the study of the function and responsibilities of
the financial manager, emphasizing the importance of the financial organization
in the formulation and promulgating of financial policies. It will help
managers utilize accounting information in the finance function and appreciate
the interrelatedness of accounting, economics concepts and finance. It will
entail the use of various financial tools and techniques in making decisions on
capital budgeting, capital structure and, working capital management. It also
analyses the external and internal variables affecting both short and long
range decision of financial manager.
